I found this on MacRumors as someone's forum signature. This doesn't make sense (though I know what he's trying to say).

Last time I checked, there's no such thing as an iPhone 2G Nice try, but fail.
You obviously don't know what 3G is and/or means.

scrapo... 2G or 2.5G is a common reference now for the old iphone. In apple documentation they compare edge with a 2.5G speed.
